For over 15 years I have been teaching a Combat Form of Cardio Kickboxing to his predominately female students who were looking for a great workout that incorporated real style combat fighting techniques. My teaching style is hands-on with a real world approach.
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Rocky has an extensive background in strength and conditioning along with agility training. He received his Masters degree in Sports Management from Liberty University and his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Kentucky Wesleyan College, where he also was part of the football team and started his coach career. Rocky was a college football coach for 8 years at several universities, including Kentucky Wesleyan College, Western New Mexico University, and Alderson Broaddus University. He was part of the Strength and Conditioning staff at each university, which included the role as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for 5 years during his time at KWC and WNMU. As the head strength and conditioning coach Rocky designed and implemented the strength programs and the conditioning/agility programs for the entire football program that included over 140 student athletes. Rocky has also worked with and recruited several student athletes from the Coachella Valley during his time as a college football coach. He currently resides in La Quinta, and is a volunteer football coach at La Quinta High School.

It enables individuals to improve both posture and range of motion, thus allowing functional ability to do what could not have been done before. By getting rid of pain and other limitations, FST ensures restoration of normal joint space leading to better quality sleep, stress reduction, and so much more! As for me, FST is my passion and love helping my community by givng each and every client!!

When you first become a MatrixFit client, we will conduct an individual assessment called the Functional Movement Screen to help us determine your body's specific strengths and to pinpoint any asymmetries that exist in the body. The FMS is comprised of seven fundamental movement patterns analyzing balance, mobility, and stability, which helps us to design a high-quality, individually-tailored fitness program that is specific to your needs.
